There is a cool new invention that will be sold later this year to help limit people's sun exposure before they damage their skin. A company called Netatmo has created a bracelet (quite stylish, by the way, but they didn't mention any versions for guys) that provides data to an app on your smartphone to tell you the percentage of the maximum sun dose you have received for the day, the current UV index, and recommendations for sunscreen products. The jewel portion of the bracelet contains both UVA and UVB sensors which transmit the data to your phone via Bluetooth.
For someone like me, who is very concerned with the amount of sun I am exposed to due to my family's history of skin cancer, this could be very useful, even when I am religious about wearing sunscreen. I could know when I need to cover up or find shade (or go inside) to prevent skin damage. Netatmo calls their bracelet "June" and it will be sold for about $99.
